Two Universitas Andalas students conducted a student exchange for five months, started October 2022 to February 2023. They took in the MBKM research assistance activities, where they attended Japanese language classes and classes related to Environmental Engineering such as risk control and basic environmental engineering. Let's See"ICHF 2023" International students at Universitas Andalas participated in the Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival (ICHF) established by UNESCO. Eight international students are accompanied by three companions from the International Office Universitas Andalas. In this event they learn about Minangkabau culture, starting from silat, how to make rendang, pacu jawi, pacu itik and so on. Apart from that, international students are also allowed to introduce their country's traditional clothes and traditional food. This activity is exciting and pride for international students to get to know and introduce culture.

Let's SeeInternational students are invited to visit the Tourism Village/Nagari Sanjai, Bukittinggi. While at Nagari Sanjai, students were given an introduction to Minangkabau culture, such as wearing traditional Minang clothing, playing traditional musical instruments, tasting traditional food, eating 'bajamba', and getting to know the traditional kerupuk sanjai processing process. Apart from that, international students are also invited to visit the Fort de Kock Fort and the Kinantan Zoo. There international students can see traces of the history of the Dutch colonial period, get to know the animals in Indonesia, and there is also a Rumah Gadang, which is a traditional Minangkabau house. Not only that, but they can also see the natural beauty of Bukittinggi, such as Mount Singgalang, Mount Marapi, and the Sianok Canyon.
