I once dreamt to do short course in Japan date back to 2015 when I was a student at Chairul Tanjung Foundation. Not until I became a higher student at Andalas University, this institution offered me a so-called program “student mobility” in 2019. To get this opportunity was really amazing, to compete with other outstanding students. But, I enjoyed the process.

Long-short story, I was on cloud nine that I know that I was accepted, and through this 3 months’ program, not only achieved my goal but I also got so many experiences in Japan. I did some research which I never done before and it was really fantastic. During my off-time I learnt Japanese cultures by visiting their historical monument and building. This program had broadened my perspective and therefore make me want to start another journey in other part of the world.

In 2021, few months after I graduated from Andalas University, I started my application for LPDP Scholarship to study abroad. Again, I was so lucky that I won this scholarship. So, I applied for several institutions in Europe. Fortunately, I accepted at Wageningen University, I secured one Global Scholarship from Lancaster University and Liverpool University also offered me a chance to study there.

From my point of view, to make our dreams come true, we need a strong motivation, a positive mindset a good preparation. I always keep in mind this Arab quote “man arofa bukdassafari ista’adda.” which then I refer as “you only get out of life what you are prepared to put in”, because I know that half of success is a perfect preparation.

So why don’t you start your preparation now?✨
